After a discussion w/ upstream we decided to use the systemimager-commits and systemimager-devel lists on sourceforge instead of creating special debian ones, at least for the time being. Both lists are currently very low traffic, so it hasn't been an issue, but it'd be easy to change if it becomes an issue. We also have an irc channel, #sisuite (currently on freenode, i think), with a commit bot. > I also would like to see a smooth transition. Perhaps - I do think its a tad easier to grant people access with alioth, assuming they are already alioth users. But other than that I've been quite happy with the upstream setup (but, then again, I set most of it up, so I've a bias). uchicago has been sponsoring this machine for a few years now - bandwidth is good, we can install whatever we need, etc. > I take no offense at your discomfort. I'm just looking for more gradual changes in development processes. > > My preference is to continue working where we are, and for developers > > to send patches to the devel list for review. I'm less concerned about where things are hosted than I am about getting the packages back in good shape - if it turns out that alioth better helps us reach that goal, then great! Once again, thanks for your interest - looking forward to better packages! -- dann frazier -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
