I could only have wished for a little more publicity for this change, as debugging "what changed" has been rather time-consuming. After all, we were in the past used to seeing serial interfaces being created in syslog when "sync" is tapped on the PDA, and even in hindsight it seems perfectly logical to begin by figuring out what made that go away, which leads to udev and the kernel, and two bug reports later..... It never once occurred to me that jpilot configuration was at issue. Was there an informational pop-up I missed during installation?
