Package: dovecot-common Version: 1.0.rc15-2 Followup-For: Bug #251433 It's been almost two years.
We are post sarge. In the etch version this thing is also present. I have just installed a security upgrade. I have upgraded libpq4. I started to wonder why was it installed on the first place as I don't have postgres installed. It turns out dovecot depends on it. Would it be very difficoult to change the package in a way that it uses a library if it is installed, and doesn't use it if it is not installed? And then you could move libpq, libsqlite, libmysqlclient to suggested/recommended. libldap also, I suppose And I wouldn't have to install security updates for software that I never wanted to install.
