Hello, I can confirm that this also happens with me. I purged icedove and removed the /etc/icedove directory (as dpkg complained it wasn't empty), but I still can't get the RSS & News feed...
As a workaround, I installed the etch version in a chroot, created
my account over there, and run back the sid one. It works fine this
way.
