Package: postfix Version: 2.4.3-1 Severity: normal
After a recent upgrade (2.4.0-2 -> 2.4.3-1) I started getting these warnings on failing-to-send emails postfix/qmgr: warning: connect to transport retry: No such file or directory I was able to fix it by running: /etc/postfix/post-install upgrade-configuration This correctly added the retry line, as well as updated the postfix-script (changed the kill -9 master.pid to an awk script) Perhaps I missed some instruction upon upgrading to run that? Should it have run autoamtically? -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.11.7 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) (ignored: LC_ALL set to C) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages postfix depends on: ii adduser 3.102 Add and remove users and groups ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.13 Debian configuration management sy ii dpkg 1.14.4 package maintenance system for Deb ii libc6 2.5-9+b1 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libdb4.3 4.3.29-8 Berkeley v4.3 Database Libraries [ ii libsasl2-2 2.1.22.dfsg1-8 Authentication abstraction library ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8e-5 SSL shared libraries ii lsb-base 3.1-23.1 Linux Standard Base 3.1 init scrip ii netbase 4.29 Basic TCP/IP networking system ii ssl-cert 1.0.14 Simple debconf wrapper for openssl Versions of packages postfix recommends: ii emacs21-nox [mai 21.4a+1-5 The GNU Emacs editor (without X su ii mailx [mail-read 1:8.1.2-0.20070424cvs-1 A simple mail user agent ii mutt [mail-reade 1.5.13-3 text-based mailreader supporting M ii pine [mail-reade 4.64-4 An e-mail reader with MIME and IMA -- debconf information: postfix/master_upgrade_warning: postfix/db_upgrade_warning: true * postfix/mailname: limedaley.com postfix/tlsmgr_upgrade_warning: postfix/dynamicmaps_upgrade_warning: * postfix/recipient_delim: + * postfix/main_mailer_type: Internet Site postfix/transport_map_warning: postfix/kernel_version_warning: postfix/relayhost: * postfix/procmail: true postfix/bad_recipient_delimiter: * postfix/chattr: false * postfix/root_address: jondaley postfix/rfc1035_violation: false postfix/mydomain_warning: * postfix/mynetworks: 127.0.0.1/32 * postfix/destinations: /etc/postfix/local-host-names postfix/nqmgr_upgrade_warning: postfix/not_configured: * postfix/mailbox_limit: 0 * postfix/protocols: ipv4 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
