Hi, I tried to upgrade octave2.9 up to 2.9.12-2+b2, but zlib1g stayed at the version it was~: 1.2.3-13. This state (allowed by package restrictions) breaks some -forge functions : at least imread is not accessible anymore. This is the given error at start of octave2.9 : -- octave2.9: /usr/lib/libz.so.1: no version information available (required by /usr/lib/octave-2.9.12/liboctinterp.so) -- Upgrading zlib1g to 1.2.3.3.dfsg-2 resolves this bug, so lower versions should not be allowed to octave2.9.
