OK, this bug can be reproduced by me after I removed /usr/local/ version of
TeXmacs.
So for me this grave bug is reproducible.
$ /usr/bin/texmacs
/usr/bin/texmacs: line 28: exec: texmacs.bin: not found
^^^^^ Above is a separate bug also. Below the workaround which indeed leads to
another (grave) bug.
$ TEXMACS_PATH=/usr/lib/texmacs/TeXmacs/
GUILE_LOAD_PATH=/usr/share/texmacs/TeXmacs/progs texmacs
Fatal error:
{/home/porton/.TeXmacs/fonts/virtual:/usr/lib/texmacs/TeXmacs/fonts/virtual}/larm.vfn
not readable in 'load_string'
