Package: lib32asound2 Version: 1.0.14a-1 Severity: normal
After upgrading to 1.0.14a-1 of lib32asound2 (from 1.0.13-2, stable), all my 32 bit apps failed when trying to use alsa, with messages similar to these: alsa-init: using device default alsa-lib: pcm.c:2106:(snd_pcm_open_conf) Cannot open shared library /usr/lib/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_empty.so alsa-init: playback open error: No such file or directory downgrading to the stable version (and changing nothing else) fixes it, upgrading brings the problem back. I have no .asoundrc or any other alsa customisation on this system. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.20.1 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages lib32asound2 depends on: ii libasound2 1.0.13-2 ALSA library ii libc6-i386 2.5-7 GNU C Library: 32bit shared librar lib32asound2 recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
