yes, sadly the solution was decided upon too close to the Etch release, so it didn't get included. The problem with your fix is that there are services that start at 20, sort lexicographically before autofs, and might already need the filesystems that autofs provides (imagine apache and atftpd). The proper solution (which has reached testing after the release) is to move nis back to 18 and portmap to 17. See #400952 for the main thread on this topic. Regards, Jan
