Bug#429784: Compiling with CONFIG_SND_DEBUG?

I'd like to check for a certain bug.

Does any ALSA expert happen to know whether
there's an easy way to compile ALSA with the

    CONFIG_SND_DEBUG

and

    CONFIG_SND_VERBOSE_PRINTK

debugging flags set, ideally so that 

    $ module-assistant a-i

uses them?

If so, how?
