if you're developing new software please use python-zsi, which is the successor of soappy and provides a way better WSDL handling than soappy does. Upstream doesn't develop on Soappy since years, all fixes and work go into ZSI. If you really need to use soappy, please give the version from experimental a try, which is based on the latest published tarball (which is from 2004, I think). We'll upload the "new" package to unstable within the next days. but first I want to get the latest changes from the svn included.
