Package: postgresql-8.2 Version: 8.2.4-2 Followup-For: Bug #430524 My /usr/share/postgresql/8.2/timezone directory was empty, and I was a little uneasy about making a symlink and having something erase my /usr/share/timezone directory too, so I copied the contents instead of symlinking, and they were erased on next postgresql's restart. I made a backup of /usr/share/timezone and symlink'ed the directory, and now it is fine. Thanks for the information.
