severity 405897 important thanks Hi Terry,
I'm raising the severity of this bug because at this point, there are three library source packages being kept around solely for the benefit of sgcontrol (gnome-vfs, gconf, and oaf), and one of these, gconf, is currently RC-buggy -- and all are effectively unmaintained. I'm working on an NMU for gconf that would let it build with libdb4.5 instead of the obsolete libdb3, but there will be no upgrade support for any gconf databases using the bdb backend anyway, and IMHO it would really be preferable to drop these libraries altogether instead of keeping them on perpetual life support. Is there any progress on a GTK+2 port of this utility, or are there any other programs with similar functionality that might replace it? -- Steve Langasek Give me a lever long enough and a Free OS Debian Developer to set it on, and I can move the world.
