Package: xchat Version: 2.8.2-1 Severity: wishlist Currently, the XChat package contains the plugins for Perl, Python and TCL and has depends on these interpreters. This is bad in two ways: 1. it fetches all those interpreters on install, even if you dont use any scripts for them 2. the plugins are always loaded and produce unneeded wakeups of the cpu (according to powertop, which makes the battery life shorter)
So please could you split the plugins out, so users can install only the one he needs? Regards Evgeni Golov
