I've clone this bug report into two, as this problem seems to be totally
unrelated to the one making James Hirschorn's file not render correctly.
To make sure I see the same bug as you, could you verify that for your
file:
1) gv first draws the image then hides it again (perhaps only visible as
very short blinking when displaying)
2) it is rendered correctly when turning off antialiasing
3) the file obtained from your file via a sed -e 's/setoverprint/pop/g'
is rendered correctly (also with antialiasing enabled) and shows the same
as the original file without antialiasing.
4) Deactivating dsc parsing in gv ("State"->"gv options"->"respect DSC")
does not change the behaviour in any way.
