Hello.

Let's try without aggressiveness or other similar tidbits, hoping that
an objective take on the matter improves the situation:

As said by various people on the recent thread on -devel, I believe it
would be very convinient to get this feature implemented in rng, because:

  * several maintainers of complex packages (Xorg, KDE, D-I) stated
that, with the current increased use of rng by users, their ability
to handle their bugs reports efficiently has decreased

  * /usr/share/bug is has been inherited through the history of all our
bug reporting tools, and it's a feeling shared among many developers
(myself included) that new bug reporting tools ought to implement it
in order to be a good citizen in the Debian ecosystem

The key point here is, and I believe most people will agree (hopefully
the maintainer of rng as well), that /usr/share/bug is not a feature of
bug reporting tools, but a de-facto standard in the life of a Debian
maintainer.

Cheers,

Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place. Therefore,
if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you are, by definition, not
smart enough to debug it.
