Thanks. I thought so too. I thought scim daemon itself does not need to get XMODIFIERS environment value so this is nothing to do with mode functionality of SCIM. So this bug report on my SCIM configuration utility seems not really pointing out problem. Just to be safe, I will move scim -d down but will not add additional upgrade warning. Hmmm, he may experienced problem not getting system configured in first case since he did not "RESTART" X environment after using my utility. Hmmm... I should mention it. Just to be sure, I will change order of command. Also I will add some note on restarting X session. > On 4/15/05, Osamu Aoki <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hi, > > > > Do we have to start "scim -d" after setting and exporting XMODIFIERS > > environment value for SCIM under XIM to function correctly? > > > > This is related to Debian bug report Bug#304134. > > > > http://bugs.debian.org/304134 > > > > I am asking difference between: > > scim -d > > XMODIFIERS="@im=SCIM" ; export XMODIFIERS > > and > > XMODIFIERS="@im=SCIM" ; export XMODIFIERS > > scim -d > > command sequence in X initialization script. > > > > Osamu -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
