Package: aptitude Version: 0.4.5.4-1 Severity: important After a seemingly innocent upgrade of some packages, aptitude suddenly segfaults on me when I try to start it.
Strangely enough the segfault only happens when I run 'sudo aptitude', not when I run aptitude as a normal user. strace attached; this is the gdb backtrace I get: Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. The upgrade was done using aptitude, so it was OK before that. Note that I did (have to?) break off aptitude during that upgrade and remove the aptitude and dpkg lock files.
