This is also happening with one of the users on my machine. Apparently it affects only users with old GNOME configurations present. Creating a new user and using gnomebaker with it solves the problem in my machine. Can you try it, and tell me if it works for you? Unfortunately, I've not been able to isolate exactly which configuration affects the behaviour of the application, yet.
