Desription:
Error: Hardware printer/scanner "Brother DCP-115C" , driver: MFC-210C
When starting xsane as normal user, xsane is getting I/O-Error and stops.
Printing and scanning as normal user is not possible, but as root everything
works fine.
Solution:
Please add the following lines to /etc/udev/rules.d/025_libsane.rules:
# Brother MFC 210c
SYSFS{idVendor}=="04f9", SYSFS{idProduct}=="018c", MODE="664",
# GROUP="scanner"
You get idVendor and idProduct by using lsusb.
The same report was sent to "udev". It can be deleted there.
Thanks for all ones , who helped me , to find this "bug".
best regards
Hans-J. Ullrich
