Dear maintainers, maybe the bug is solved. I installed ab older kernel, and after this I upgraded to the newer kernel again. All worked well. I suppose, the problem is more in the package yaird or some mkinitrd. Those packages were deinstalled during the installtion of the older kernel (2.6.21-1-k7).
Maybe this info helps. I cannot find out more, be just happy, that it works again. You can close the bug, if you want. Maybe it is not the kernel itself, but one of the "initrd-packages" which create the initrd.img-xxxx. Thanks anyway ! Regards Hans-J.
