Hi there, I have exactly the same issue on a work laptop (Dell Latitude D630) with the ipw3945.
I'm trying the iwlwifi driver at the moment (the firmware is already in Sid but not the driver) and I will let you know if I manage to find a solution. All the same I will be interested to have further input from the maintainer on this issue. Thanks a lot in advance Cheers LeTic
