Package: vlan
Version: 1.9-2
Severity: minor

The manpage and usage message (when invoking vconfig without
arguments) states that flag 1 - REORDER_HDR (header reordering) is OFF
by default. This is not true. Header reordering is ON by default. For
a newly create vlan device "cat /proc/net/vlan/{devname}" will show
"REORDER_HDR: 1" in line 1.

As far as i could spot, the initilization takes place in the kernel
vlan code (net/8021q/vlan.c line 518 - linux-source-2.6.18).

Please either update the documentation to match the kernel code or
change the kernel code to match the documentation. Since the
documenation states that there is a performance penalty when doing
header reordering, the latter might be desireable. Please move this
bugreport to the appropriate package in that case.
