Hi,

I confirm this bug is still annoying, anyway as specified here
this can be workarounded easly without changing kernel :
just hack kernel header before runing m-a :

  sed -e "s|#define CONFIG_PARAVIRT 1|//#define CONFIG_PARAVIRT 1 //
#CONFIG_PARAVIRT=y # http://rzr.online.fr/q/ATI |g" \
      -i /usr/src/linux-headers-$(uname -r)/include/linux/autoconf.h

  m-a --text-mode a-i fglrx-driver
  dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

It worked for me on current linux kernel (testing) : 2.6.21-2-686 on a
Dell Dimension 9200
But I havent tried to use virtualisation yet

Hope this help, Regards
