With the kernel 2.6 all works fine but i have a total inactivity of the IDE LED (during and after the installation). I mean these two problems concerns the Linux Kernel (in particular sata_sil or something about APIC). I have the same problems trying a new 2.6.11 kernel. The kernel installed is a generic 386 kernel, not optimized for k7 cpu. ( I have installed the package kernel-image-2.6.8-2-386 ). I have had to configure the ADSL connection manually during the installation (opening another shell) using the tool pppoeconf (in order to configure apt during the installation). The version of pppoeconf in the live cd creates the obsolete link /etc/boot/ppp_on_boot: I have had to remove it manually and edit the file /etc/network/interfaces. Thanks for the best Linux distro :) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
