Hi, version 2.2.0-1 of nut no longer supplies the udev/rules.d file for
setting the permissions of USB UPS devices.
This causes major pain to debug and solve the issue for every admin that
has USB UPS. I am not using "grave" severity only because some other
admins, that use non-USB UPSes will not suffer from this. It is grave
for me :)
Adding "--with-udev-dir=/etc/udev/rules.d" to configure invocation fixes
this.
BTW, the udev rules file is installed under different names in both nut
and nut-hal-drivers. Wouldn't this cause problems? Yes, nut conflicts
with nut-hal-drivers, but the rules files is a conffiles so both may be
present on the system simultaneously (imagine "install nut" + "install
nut-hal-drivers, removing-but-not-purging nut" -- that would cause both
52_.... and 025_... to be present in rules.d).
Thank you for taking care of nut package
