I've already seen the problem here with the readline debconf frontend. 
It does not use the default value but set the empty string when you hit
return it seems.

Hmm, did not know that command. I always use debconf-communicate for
that :)

Problem is that I have no idea how to implement that. dpkg-reconfigure
runs the config script of the installed package. But how can I insert
that template into slapd 2.1.30-3?
