There is an Ubuntu guy currently working on it [1], but | patching the source might even be easier. Yes, given dpatch et al it should be straightforward. Another issues is that with Feisty && PL/R 8.1 at work, it 'just hangs' omn trying the example 'median' function from chapter 8 of the PL/R docs. On Debian testing at home using PL/R 8.2 it just works. I ran this by Joe via a quick email and he is not aware of any issues. I'll try to follow his suggestion of attaching gdb. Will follow-up.
