Package: eric
Version: 3.9.5-1
Severity: normal

The eric GUI has an item help | helpviewer. This brings up an empty window.

Choosing one of the later topics (e.g., help | eric api documentation)
launches another help viewer; it does not reuse the existing one.

Hitting F1 (shortcut for help | helpviewer) while on python code also
brings up an empty viewer (I thought it might bring up context
sensitve help, e.g. hit F1 while on the word "class" in the source
window gets you python docs on classes.)

I was hoping that help | helpviewer would give me documenation on the
application (the IDE) itself. There does not seem to be such
documentation; perhaps it doesn't exist upstream (upstream has a wiki
http://ericide.python-hosting.com/wiki/Doc identified as a "work in
progress").

Failing adequate documenation, perhaps the menu item and the shortcut
should be removed.
