I have the same problem, but I do not think it is (at least directly) coming from Sun Java. I have installed both Azureus and JDK manually, and they have worked until now. Something else has upgraded during last week and Azureus does not work anymore.
I'm running sid on amd64, self-compiled kernel 2.6.21.5 and libc6 2.6.1-1
