There is indeed no need to switch pimppa to po-debconf as.....it doesn't use debconf at all....:-|
The maintainer scripts are disabled and will never use the debconf templates and their translations. At least, this package should drop the debian/po directory to avoid confusing translators who might think that there's something to translate. Please drop all the unused stuff .diff.gz files are not archives meant to carry old unused stuff. That would of course close #210486 and #162951 Another solution is of course dropping that (unmaintained) package completely..:-)
