On this particular machine I have this in ~/.xsession: #!/bin/sh export XMODIFIERS="@im=SCIM" export GTK_IM_MODULE="scim" export QT_IM_MODULE="scim" scim -d xautolock -time 10 -locker xlock -corners 00+0 -cornerdelay 0 & fluxbox (Just in case you are a scim guru: This install is several years old. Don't ask me why, but I have another machine installed more recently where I needed to do absolutely no config. Just installed the scim packages and it all worked. Both machines track testing.) All my locale values are en_US.UTF-8. > 2. Which version qt are you using now? I am not quite sure how to answer that question. Is this what you are looking for?: $ apt-cache show libqt4-core Version: 4.3.0-4 This machine tracks Debian testing very closely. > 3. Have you installed scim-qtimm? Well, no, it was not necessary before. Nor do I see it in the list of scim "recommends" or "suggests". However, after I install scim-qtimm SCIM starts working with konsole again. May I suggest this bug report be used to add scim-qtimm to the scim "recommends" list right beside scim-gtk2-immodule? > Cheers > Zhengpeng Hou Thanks, Clayton -- http://www.langex.net/ Free to search for a language partner.
