Package: bluez-utils Version: 3.13-1 Severity: important Maybe it's entirely my fault, but I don't get my laptop paired with my mobile phone. The phone asks for a passcode, I enter 1234 (the one that is in /etc/bluetooth/hcid.conf), and get a "Pairing failed". README.Debian says, bluez-gnome provides a passkey agent, but I don't know how to find or use it (I'm using XFCE and/or the command line). The example program in C (are users really supposed to compile some code, put the result without control of the package management and without manual page to some place?) does not change the situation.
I remember, that I was able to pair my phone from another Debian machine with the same USB bluetooth adaptor some months ago. I do not remember, which software versions were on that machine, however. I can pair my phone with a N770, btw. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.21-2-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=es_AR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_AR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages bluez-utils depends on: ii dbus 1.1.1-3 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libbluetooth2 3.15-1 Library to use the BlueZ Linux Blu ii libc6 2.6.1-1 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libdbus-1-3 1.1.1-3 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libglib2.0-0 2.14.0-2 The GLib library of C routines ii libusb-0.1-4 2:0.1.12-7 userspace USB programming library ii lsb-base 3.1-23.1 Linux Standard Base 3.1 init scrip ii makedev 2.3.1-83 creates device files in /dev ii module-init-tools 3.3-pre11-4 tools for managing Linux kernel mo ii udev 0.105-4 /dev/ and hotplug management daemo Versions of packages bluez-utils recommends: ii bluez-gnome 0.13-1 Bluetooth utilities for GNOME -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
