According to the mozplug website this problem is solved with 1.7.2: April 16, 2005 Released MozPlugger 1.7.2. It adds support for Acrobat Reader 7 and Evince, and fixes the bug that obscured parts of embedded windows when increasing the size of the browser. For now I have removed mozplugger, will reinstall it later.
