Package: subversion-tools
Version: 1.4.2dfsg1-2
Severity: normal

svn-hot-backup has a configuration directive at the top of the script to
control how many backup iterations to keep, which defaults to 64:

# Number of backups to keep around (0 for "keep them all")
num_backups = 64

Our repo is quite large, and we don't have the disk space to keep 64 copies.
Editing /usr/bin/svn-hot-backup is required to change this value, and since
the script is not a conffile, the change is overwritten when the package is
reinstalled.

I would include a patch, but there are other configurable items and I'm not
sure if the best way is to add command line arguments for them all or have a
separate configuration file.
