I think this issue is both up to the galago and bsdutils maintainers. First, a dbus interface should be defined for sending such messages. Then, wall could call dbus-send when available, and notification-daemon would have to listen to this interface. If the bsdutils maintainer disagrees, the solution will imply notification-daemon (or an intermediate process) using a pseudo-tty only for this matter, and it sounds quite hackish. Cheers, -- .''`.
