Hi, why closing this one? I mean that acpid now uses syslog doesn't prevent it from filling up the syslog file. If you flood /var/log/acpid or /var/log/syslog doesn't really make a difference.
I really guess this is a hardware issue but instead of closing I think it would be better to mark it as wishlist because acpid really could prevent a lot of similar events in a short time period to block this floods.
