I've run
titanium:~# su -s /bin/bash -c "/usr/sbin/logcheck" logcheck

and this is effect:

Details:
Could not run logtail or save output

Check temporary directory: /tmp/logcheck.en7908

Also verify that the logcheck user can read all files referenced in
/etc/logcheck/logcheck.logfiles!
