 That works well for regular development, though when there is a
branching done between experimental and unstable this is going to point
to the experimental version, not the unstable version which is something
users might be more interested in tracking.  See wesnoth for a start,
but there are propably other experimental versions that did split from
an earlier version than the current one from unstable.
