I'm experiencing the same problem with azureus and sun-java6-jre.

Doing:

  sudo mv /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/modules/libgnomebreakpad.so
/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/modules/libgnomebreakpad.so.hide

Solved the problem.
