Package: minicom
Version: 2.1-9
Severity: normal

minicom always starts by giving the message
minicom: WARNING: configuration file not found, using defaults

According to README.Debian, this is to be expected the first time,
but thereafter one should save the configuration (which I have
done) and it will be written to /etc/minicom/minirc.dfl (which
it is)

Nevertheless, minicom fails to notice this.

straceing it shows that it's actually looking for the file
/etc/minicom/minirc._etc_minicom_minirc.dfl
instead of
/etc/minicom/minirc.dfl

Linking the configuration file to this location has the desired
effect.
