This is also upstream ticket 8446: http://rt3.fsck.com/Ticket/Display.html?id=8446 (login as guest/guest) It would be nice to have this integrated upstream instead of creating a Debian-specific option that would possibly become incompatible later. I have updated the upstream ticket accordingly. CCing the original bug submitter to keep him up to date too.
