The option to retry it always succeeded. The big problem always happens when the installation says it's complete, and it's time to reboot from the hard disk. It never succeeds in doing that. Always, at the end, it says: "Begin: Running Scripts/Init-bottom ... Done. run-init; /sbin/init: No such file or directory Kernel-panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill Init!"
