Hello: I think Debian should think in their users and even it's not a direct Debian fault or even gtk fault once there's a workaround available it should be used meanwhile a final solution is provided. This is also appliable to the package maintainers IMHO.
I end up in applying the patch and rebuilding the package but I admit this is not something the average user should/is able to do. So please, take into account user satisfaction and do provide such a patch. Or at least propose a valid workaround for the general user pool. Regards, -- Raúl Sánchez Siles
