I did:
mv ~/.amsn ~/amsn_old
then re-ran:
amsn
and it started fine.
I compared the gconfig.xml in each directory and found that in the newly
created .msn directory, gconfig.xml contained:
<entry>
<attribute>basefont</attribute>
<value>Helvetica 11 normal</value>
</entry>
in the ~/.amsn/gconfig.xml that crashed I had:
<entry>
<attribute>basefont</attribute>
<value>arial.unicode.ms 12 normal</value>
</entry>
When I changed back to using my original .amsn directory contents but
with the basefont in config.xml set back to "Helvetica 11 normal",
everything ran find *until* I tried to change the fonts, and then
received a segmentation fault.
