Package: samba Version: 3.0.10-1 Followup-For: Bug #222144 I upgraded from stable version 2.2 to 3.0 some days ago. Now I get mails "panic action" sometimes. The first time I had it with my MAC OSX client, now I just got it in a connection with win9x-client. At least for MAC OSX the behaviour on side of client looks similar as before: Sometimes, when there is already one share mounted, it doesn't allow to mount another share (of same samba-user). I never understood why. Now samba 3 sends this mail. Here some lines from my log.smbd: #0 /usr/sbin/smbd(smb_panic2+0x111) [0x81e05e1] #1 /usr/sbin/smbd(smb_panic+0x1a) [0x81e04ca] #2 /usr/sbin/smbd [0x81cc8e8] #3 /lib/libc.so.6 [0x401bc678] #4 /usr/sbin/smbd(push_ascii+0x20) [0x81ca780] #5 /usr/sbin/smbd(push_ascii_fstring+0x2a) [0x81ca83a] #6 /usr/sbin/smbd [0x8091c54] #7 /usr/sbin/smbd(api_reply+0x197) [0x80969f7] #8 /usr/sbin/smbd(reply_trans+0x54e) [0x808d8fe] #9 /usr/sbin/smbd [0x80d3306] #10 /usr/sbin/smbd [0x80d3590] #11 /usr/sbin/smbd(process_smb+0x8c) [0x80d379c] #12 /usr/sbin/smbd(smbd_process+0x168) [0x80d44d8] #13 /usr/sbin/smbd(main+0x4ea) [0x82579ba] #14 /lib/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0xc6) [0x401a8dc6] #15 /usr/sbin/smbd [0x8078b41] [2005/04/23 21:12:08, 2] smbd/reply.c:reply_special(235) netbios connect: name1=DONALD name2=FRANZISKUS [2005/04/23 21:12:08, 2] smbd/reply.c:reply_special(242) netbios connect: local=donald remote=franziskus, name type = 0 [2005/04/23 21:12:08, 2] smbd/sesssetup.c:setup_new_vc_session(608) setup_new_vc_session: New VC == 0, if NT4.x compatible we would close all old resources.
