After resolving bug report #324593 some improvements are necessary: 1. Double entries The following keys are two times present: - net.ipv4.icmp_echo_ignore_broadcasts - net.ipv4.tcp_syncookies 2. Inconsistent delimiters On the one side the traditional delimiter is '.' which is used by sysctl -a. One the other side every key is a file in /proc/sys/ and the tab completion in zsh for the sysctl command also use the slash. Please use only ONE delimiter in sysctl.conf. 3. kernel.maps_protect The security relevant key kernel.maps_protect which is set in Ubuntu is not present as an example.
