Package: bsdutils Version: 1:2.13-8 Severity: normal I'm not sure col (or script) is the source of this problem. I capture my apt-get sessions with script, e.g. script 131, and then when I'm done do # col -bx < 131 > log131 col: Invalid or incomplete multibyte or wide character
This used to work, but the last couple of times I tried I got the error shown above. The problem first occurred after a session in which I upgraded to the current version on Oct 9. The first problem script, as best I can recall, was from a plain text virtual terminal. The second was from inside Konsole. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (50, 'unstable'), (40, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-5-k7 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages bsdutils depends on: ii libc6 2.6.1-1+b1 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libncurses5 5.6+20070908-1 Shared libraries for terminal hand Versions of packages bsdutils recommends: ii bsdmainutils 6.1.7 collection of more utilities from -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
