It’s honorable that you report all those bugs Martin, but nowadays latex-suite, being unmaintained for long, has degenerated to a steaming pile of crap. All the essential functionality that takes work from the writer’s shoulders barely works: Multi-file setups freak out the errorformat, the parsing with the efm barely catches errors and inclides lots of useless junk in the quickfix window; completion of \cite and \ref doesn't work properly, either.

The only thing that works and is useful is the insert mode macros. I only keep using the suite because I’m accustomed to those.

What really should happen is the integration of rubber and the parsing of it’s really clean output. I tried doing that, but the whole setup is too arcane for me. It’s a shame, really. Usually people only work with latex-related software for as long as they work on their theses (viz. procrastination).
