Could you please detail the steps you did that lead to the problem happening? Just creating and deleting a diary entry seems not to be enough to reproduce it (at least I was not able to). Also, if you still have a copy of the gnotime-data.xml file (maybe some of the automatic backups produced by gnotime) that causes the problem to happen, you could send it to me so I can try to debug it.
